Last updated August 12, 2026

Rivers Edge Mechanical (“Rivers Edge,” “we,” “us,” “our”) provides commercial and institutional mechanical contracting services. This policy explains what information we gather when you visit our website at riversedgemechanical.com, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using this site, you’re agreeing to the practices described here. If anything below doesn’t sit right with you, please don’t use the site — and if you have questions, reach out to us at steve@riversedgemechanical.com.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

Information you give us directly

If you reach out to us — by phone, email, or otherwise — we may retain whatever information you share in that exchange. We ask that anything you provide be accurate and current, and that you let us know if it changes.

We don’t collect sensitive personal categories (health, religion, ethnicity, etc.) through this site.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours automatically logs certain basic technical details when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device information, general location, and how you navigate the site. This doesn’t tell us who you are by name. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services.

Specifically, this may include:

  • Log data — technical records our server keeps automatically, such as timestamps, pages viewed, and error reports.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, hardware details, and your internet provider.
  • Approximate location — generally derived from your IP address, not precise GPS tracking. You can limit this through your device’s location settings, though some site features may not work as well as a result.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to questions you send us and provide support
  • Maintain the security and proper operation of the site
  • Meet legal or regulatory obligations, and protect our legal rights when necessary

3. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We work with a small number of outside vendors to keep the site running — specifically, our web hosting company. These providers only receive what they need to do their job for us; we don’t sell or share information for their own independent use.

If Rivers Edge were ever acquired, merged, or sold, relevant information could transfer as part of that transaction.

4. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGY

This site does not currently use cookies or similar tracking technologies for analytics or advertising purposes. If that changes in the future — for example, if analytics tools are added later — we will update this policy to reflect it.

Full cookie details: riversedgemechanical.com/cookies-policy/.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, or as required by law (e.g., tax or accounting recordkeeping). Once there’s no legitimate reason to keep it, we delete or anonymize it — or, where immediate deletion isn’t technically possible (such as backup systems), we isolate it until it can be properly removed.

6. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to keep information secure. That said, no method of online transmission or storage is completely risk-free, and we can’t guarantee against unauthorized access, so please use good judgment when sharing information online generally.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

This site isn’t directed at, and we don’t knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18. By using the site, you’re confirming you’re either 18+ or a parent/guardian consenting on behalf of a minor. If we discover we’ve inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we’ll delete it. If you believe this has happened, contact us at steve@riversedgemechanical.com.

8. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES

If we’re relying on your consent for anything, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us — this won’t undo anything already processed before that point.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. See our Cookie Policy for specifics: riversedgemechanical.com/cookies-policy/.

Questions about your privacy choices can go to steve@riversedgemechanical.com.

9. DO-NOT-TRACK SIGNALS

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s currently no universal industry standard for how websites should respond to this signal, so — consistent with common practice — we don’t currently act on it. If a standard emerges that we’re required to follow, we’ll update this policy accordingly.

10. RIGHTS FOR US STATE RESIDENTS

If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia — you may have rights to know what we collect, access it, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy of it.

What we’ve actually collected in the past 12 months: Nothing beyond what’s described in Section 1 above — we do not collect identifiers (name, address, phone, email) through the site itself, since our contact links simply open your own phone or email app rather than transmitting anything to us directly. We similarly do not collect financial information, biometric data, precise geolocation, protected characteristics, employment history, education records, or any inferred profiling data.

We haven’t sold or shared personal information with third parties for commercial purposes in the past 12 months.

Depending on your state, your rights may include the ability to:

  • Know whether we’re processing your data, and access it
  • Correct inaccuracies or request deletion
  • Get a copy of information you’ve shared with us
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, data sales, or profiling (not applicable here, as we don’t engage in any of these)
  • Receive a list of categories or specific third parties we’ve shared data with, where applicable under your state’s law
  • Avoid discrimination for exercising any of these rights

To exercise these rights: Email steve@riversedgemechanical.com or submit a request through the contact details below. We’ll need to verify your identity before acting on any request — if you’re using an authorized agent on your behalf, we’ll need written proof of that authorization.

If we deny a request, you can appeal by emailing us; we’ll respond in writing with our reasoning. If you disagree with the outcome, you can escalate a complaint to your state’s attorney general.

California residents additionally have the right, once per year and at no cost, to ask what personal information (if any) we’ve shared with third parties for direct marketing, under California’s “Shine the Light” law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83). Submit such requests in writing to the contact info below.

11. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We may revise this policy periodically to stay current with legal requirements or how the site operates. Updates will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above; material changes may also be posted prominently on the site.
